Public transit authorities are now allowed to increase the passenger limit in public transit vehicles. How many people can use a vehicle? As many people as there are seats (if there are only seats) or as many as 50% of the total number of seats and standing spots (in this case, however, half the seats must remain empty). Example If there are seats on the bus, they can all be occupied. If the bus has 30 seats and 70 standing spots, it can accommodate 50 people.
